Brother Tyler Worthen: As the Church Of Christ continues its celebrations of its 111th anniversary, we shift our attention to special proclamations from government officials that were made in recognition of the church’s prolific contributions in communities in America. Let’s check it out.
Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero: I, Lou Leon Guerrero, Mega hagan Gahan (Governor of Guam) by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Organic Act of Guam as amended, do hereby proclaim July 27, 2025 in recognition of Iglesia Ni Cristo Day and celebration of the Church’s 111th anniversary.
Brother Tyler Worthen: Just recently, the governor of Guam, Lourdes, Leon Guerrero, presented the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo and the Church Of Christ a certificate of recognition for its 111th anniversary and its continuous outreach programs to the people of Guam. District Supervising Minister of Micronesia, Brother Joven Sepillo Jr, accepted on his and the Church’s behalf.
Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero: …and the influence of the Church and your work in the ministry of making sure that the people that you serve, making sure that you interact with the people to provide them with the services that are needed to continue on the Christian values and to continue on like you said, the work of the Lord.
Brother Tyler Worthen: This work of extending care within communities, is a constant no matter where members are found, and it is evident here in Guam, where various outreach events through the years have been done aimed at helping their fellow men.
Brother Joven Sepillo, Jr: They are indeed recognizing the efforts of the brethren here in the district of Micronesia, particularly here in the island of Guam. It made us so joyful, and at the same time, it inspired us to all the more be dedicated, to be active in uniting with all the projects being launched by the Church Administration to become good citizens of our country and to be good Christians.
Brother Tyler Worthen: Meanwhile in San Diego, California, National City Mayor Ron Morrison also officially proclaimed July 27 as Iglesia Ni Cristo or INC Day, acknowledging the Church’s global impact and its significant contributions to the community.
Ron Morrison: Now therefore be it resolved that I, Ron Morrison, Mayor, on behalf of the City Council, proclaim July 27, 2025 in the city of Nashville.
Brother Tyler Worthen: From City Hall, Mayor Ron Morrison officially declared July 27th as Iglesia Ni Cristo Day, as they also commemorate the Church’s 111th anniversary this year. Church Of Christ members gathered from around the ecclesiastical district of San Diego County to witness this momentous event.
Speaker: Their Church helps in giving aid to those in need and changing their quality of life, making it a better place to live.
Brother Tyler Worthen: Government officials attested to all the efforts of the Church Of Christ in continuing socio civic and outreach activities to the community.
Mayor Ron Morrison: The Iglesia Ni Cristo has grown into a global religious organization, uplifting individuals through spiritual guidance, community engagement and a steadfast commitment to unity, compassion and humanitarian services.
Mayor Ron Morrison: The example that you guys provide is awesome. Makes a huge difference.
Brother Tyler Worthen: Proclamations like these serve as further inspiration for Church Of Christ members in Guam, National City, and around the world to fulfill God’s work, as well as reaching out and caring for others, especially in times of need.
Brother Tyler Worthen: All praises be to the Almighty God as members continue to reflect on all of God’s great blessings, the recognitions the Church receives from public servants give inspiration for all to continue uniting in every Church endeavor.
