God’s Sons and Daughters

There is a popular belief that all people are God’s children. This widespread belief is based on the fact that God created all people. Because all people came from God and God is the Father of all, the natural conclusion that others make is that all people are children of God. But is it true that the Lord God recognizes all people as His sons and daughters?
