Christian Media: Where Truth Meets You

Kind Acts That Encourage Others

Helping a local community can be a fulfilling experience for anyone that volunteers their time. Just like those that donated at an INC Giving blood drive at New Era General Hospital and another group who joined together in cleaning Bantayan Park in Bago City. It’s through these acts of kindness that we can also encourage others to get involved. Join Elijah on this INC Giving recap for more inspiration.

Kind Acts That Encourage Others to Get Involved

Elijah: Hello again, my INC Giving friends! How is everyone doing? We’re back with another INC Giving recap episode.

Elijah: Now, since the relaunch of the INC Giving project, there has never been a shortage of INC Giving volunteers stepping up their game when it comes to doing good for our communities.

Elijah: Now let’s see where the INC Giving Project brings us this week. And what a better way to start the week than with a clean community.

Elijah: In Zamboanga, check out  this enormous group of INC Giving volunteers. A truly inspiring way to encourage everyone to care for our communities.

Elijah: And Pagadian City wasn’t going to miss out and held a cleanup drive at the Dao Sports Complex! Awesome job, friends!

Elijah: Heading over to Iloilo city for a free ride, these drivers offered free rides to help people get to their jobs in the morning. What a beautiful way to start someone’s day.

Elijah: In the District of Negros Occidental, these INC Giving volunteers showed up to clean Bantayan Park in Bago City. Wow, I love seeing these huge groups of INC Giving volunteers coming together.

Elijah: And in Elizabeth, New Jersey, the Elizabeth Marina got a little bit of TLC (tender love and care) too!

Elijah: Heading back over to the Philippines, these men and women were honored for their dedication to the community in a firefighter appreciation day. To all of our firefighters out there, thank you so much for all that you do for us.

Elijah: And in General Santos City, they were giving out free pandesal and coffee. What a sweet way to make new friends. You know what else is sweet? Free ice cream!

Elijah: In Cabatuan, Isabela, these lovely volunteers gave out free ice cream cones to their neighbors and friends! Look at all those smiling faces.

Elijah: Now let’s head over to Pasig, where they had a blood donation at New Era General Hospital.

Elijah: I know how donating blood might make some people nervous, but just like the sign says, “Blood sharing is lifesaving.” And if you’ve donated blood before, let us know! Send us your pictures and stories at incgiving.org. We’d love to hear from you!

Elijah: Okay, back to our volunteers. The district of Cavite South planted these little tree saplings to beautify their park. I hope we get to see the after photos in a few years.

Elijah: Do you guys remember Myla Cunanan? She was a featured story on Stories of Faith and you can watch it on incmedia.org or download the app and watch it on the go.

Elijah: Now here in Bay Area, California, Myla and her mom went to the Alameda Food Bank to sort and pack the food that will go out to the community. Keep up the good work, friends.

Elijah: Now, speaking of friends—

Elijah: You know a great way to make new friends? Free haircuts! Okay, that might be a little bit of a stretch but you know, talk about an opportunity to start a faith conversation.

Elijah: You can be like, “Hi, do you want a free haircut? Have a seat. Oh—why am I doing this? It’s part of a project for our Church called the INC Giving Project. And we do it because it’s a commandment of God to do good to those who need it.” Boom! Faith conversation started.

Elijah: And over in Masinloc, Zambales North, where volunteers cut down wild and creeper plants to clear the roads from anything that might be unsafe for drivers while cleaning the trash as well. Making the roads clean and safe!

Elijah: Our final stop today is in Central America, where they handed out free clothing, food and toys. More simple acts of kindness to close out our recap for this week.

Elijah: Thanks to all of our volunteers that are out and about doing these acts of kindness for our fellow men.

Elijah: And remember, whenever you possibly can, do good to those who need it.

Don’t forget to check out incgiving.org for all our recaps and vlogs, and find more ideas for your next INC Giving project!

Elijah: You can also submit your story so that you can be featured in our recaps too. That’s all we have for this week, I’m Elijah, see you guys next time! Bye!
