Helping Keep Our Community Healthy and Clean
Taylor Joy: Hi, it’s me, Taylor Joy, and I’m back with another INC Giving recap. You know what my favorite thing is about these recaps?
Taylor Joy: It’s hearing about all the INC Giving volunteers that are really just united in this global act of kindness that just keeps on growing.
Taylor Joy: The creativity of these activities is a continuous reminder of how much of an impact we can make in our communities by doing good to those who need it. So let’s see what the INC Giving Project volunteers accomplished this week.
Taylor Joy: In Metro Manila, stacks of bags of free buns! Look at how much they gathered to share with everyone. Imagine walking down the street and then you’re greeted with a smile and some free bread.
Taylor Joy: I would absolutely ‘loaf’ that. Get it? It’s a bread pun!
Taylor Joy: Ooh, more free bread rolls! Young students walking to school get a free bag of pandesal from these INC Giving volunteers in Binaahan, Pabilao.
Taylor Joy: Now let’s see who went out into the community to do some cleaning this week. In Los Baños in Calamba City. The excitement of these volunteers is so heartwarming.
Taylor Joy: Lordarman De Guzman writes: “Kelan po kaya ulit mauulit,” which roughly translates to: “I can’t wait to do this again.” They’re already excited for the next activity. Keep it up, friends.
Taylor Joy: In San Pablo City, Laguna. Look at this group of smiles, just sharing snacks with everyone. So many tiny moments of kindness happening right here.
Taylor Joy: You know who also deserves some kindness? Our coworkers! In this case, these INC Giving volunteers in Karume, Japan, chose to thank their coworkers with a bag of goodies and a God’s Message magazine. How sweet!
Taylor Joy: Whoa! That’s a lot of leaves. Good thing we had a group of INC Giving volunteers ready to mobilize and get those leaves cleaned away. Great job to the local of F.Y. Manalo in Bacolod City.
Taylor Joy: Moving right along, while keeping our communities clean, we’re also helping to keep them healthy. Free medical checkups, medication and vitamins in Ilocos Sur.
Taylor Joy: Let’s see a few more clean up drives. Capalonga in Camarines Norte, sweeping up the leaves and cleaning the walls. Beautiful!
Taylor Joy: In Great Britain, the Swanley Town Council recognized this small group of INC Giving volunteers for cleaning up a park in the small town. In their post they said, “A big well done & thank you to one of our church groups, Church of Christ, who carried out a community litter pick on the weekend!”
Taylor Joy: Good job friends!
Taylor Joy: Andiamo in Italia! where the history is rich and the pasta is plenty, and where the entire district of Italy North held their clean up drives on the same day! Talk about unity. Bravissimo!
Taylor Joy: Hey, do you guys remember the INC Giving volunteers that were giving out free cabbage? That was such a great idea!
Taylor Joy: And this time in Candelaria, Zambales, they gave out free veggies and greens! Helping their neighbors get some essential vitamins and fiber.
Taylor Joy: We’ve got more cleanups, but this time with snow! So instead of a walis tingting, it’s shovels. Look at all that snow! I think I would just be smiling the whole time if I saw a group of people clearing the snow in my neighborhood.
Taylor Joy: Okay, now, this is pretty new. Free aprons for the fish market workers at Brooke’s Point in Palawan. Working at the fish market can get pretty messy. So a little gesture to show the workers that their service is appreciated too. It’s definitely worth the effort to go out and show kindness to everyone.
Taylor Joy: Let’s wrap it up with one last cleanup drive in Lambunao, Iloilo. These volunteers showed up to clean the Lambunao Public Plaza. Cleanup drives are such a great way to show our care for the community. That way, we can all enjoy our clean public spaces together.
Taylor Joy: Another week, another recap. Thanks for watching, and please keep sharing your stories with us, either on Facebook (Instagram) or head over to incgiving.org to submit your photos and details of your INC Giving activities.
Taylor Joy: Helping others is good for our spiritual well-being, so always remember whenever you possibly can, do good to those who need it.
Taylor Joy: Have a blessed week everyone! Bye for now.
