Coworkers Volunteer Outside of Work at a Food Bank
Jasmine: All right. Just dropped off my kids at school; running back home to get my INC Giving shirt. Okay, here it is. Ready to go. I’m going to get that on and we’ll head over to start our day. See you then.
Jasmine: Alright I think we’re almost there. This is the nonprofit organization that we’ll be working with today. Let’s go inside and check it out.
Jasmine: Hi, friends. I invited–
Jeff: Hi friends.
Jasmine: I invited my coworker Jeff Hitch. And he’s helping out today with volunteering. We volunteer a lot together at work, too.
Jeff: Can’t wait. Thanks for inviting me.
Jasmine: So here we are. We arrived at Community Mission of Hope. They are a non-profit organization here in Temecula. They assist families in need. And we worked with them before.
Jasmine: Actually, a year ago we did a canned food drive with them. And so we are getting ready to go inside and find out what we get to help out with.
Micheal: All right, how you doing?
INC Giving Volunteer: I’m good, thanks. Thanks for having us.
Micheal: Absolutely! Love having you!
Jasmine: This is the manager of the warehouse.
Micheal: How are you doing? Good morning to you.
Jasmine: He does amazing work here, helps out the community. What do we do exactly?
Micheal: You’re going to be in the dry distribution putting together CMOH bags that are passed out with the fresh rescue.
Jasmine: And then, in these bags, what do they have?
Micheal: They have an assortment of canned and dry goods. We’re looking at around 340-350 families a week that we serve.
Jasmine: We just finished our community service for today at Community Mission of Hope. That was a lot of work but a lot of fun and we felt really good helping out the community today.
