Richie Ferrera: In Quezon City, Philippines, an evangelical mission led by the Deputy Executive Minister Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, was held and broadcasted to sites around the world, bringing an important message to listeners around the world. Let’s take a look.
Rudy Gadsby: It was like a wake up call.
Jessie Abrams-Hall: It was very concise, easy to understand, and that’s what we need.
Xavian Atkins: So in the lesson, I thought it was rather interesting how when we go against what God tells us to do, in a sense, we’re destroying ourselves.
Jessica Scott: He really explained very well, and he used the verses really well too.
Richie Ferrera: These were just some of the many responses following the broadcast of the worldwide evangelical mission held at the Church Of Christ, House of Worship of San Francisco in Quezon City, Philippines. Thousands of members, along with their invited guests, gathered to hear the preaching of God’s words delivered by Brother Angelo Manalo, the Deputy Executive Minister. And this very important message resonated with listeners here, like in Orange County, California, guests like Alex, were impacted by the message they heard.
Alexandra Depillis-Lindheim: The sermon was great, filled with God’s words. That was really interesting. I feel like it kept me engaged, using, you know, God’s word to preach to the people. I think that’s like the perfect way to connect, you know, and be like, yeah, God’s speaking to you right here tonight. There’s a lot of things changing right now, and that is a source of instability. God is truth. People need those things. Truth is stability, right?
Rudy Gadsby: I liked how they read the Scripture and explained it along the way, so it was nice that they kind of broke it down and kind of explained it to us as we continue to read it. I definitely agree with what the message was saying. It’s not just faith alone. You have to practice. It’s like a wake up call. Hey, I need to continue to live my life Christ-like instead of just being a faithful person. I have to actually be God’s disciple.
Joeina Johnson: I felt it was very groundbreaking, and I felt like it roots you back into reality of why we’re really here, but remember that we have a purpose, and God put us here for a purpose that needs to be fulfilled. Hearing the sermon just made me realize, okay, you know, I need to get back into the word of God.
Richie Ferrera: And across the country, in Washington, DC, guests like Xavian were inspired by what was preached.
Xavian Atkins: I’ll come back to say, Yeah, I piqued my interest. I’ve never been to a church like this before, and I naturally want to give it a chance.
Editha Acevedo: The decision that made me come here today maybe there’s the purpose of God allowing me to come here too. God is the best answer. He will guide you no matter what.
Richie Ferrera: In Hawaii for Jessica, the message prompted her to ponder over a decision.
Jessica Scott: It was the two choices he made for us, this, either to live or to die. We all had to think about there are two choices. And what do you want to do? You want to live or you want to die. Want to live, want to like, do the correct things.
Richie Ferrera: And in Northern California, attendees were also enlightened.
Jessie Abrams-Hall: We need God. We need to get back to being good neighbors and thinking about other people as opposed to just thinking about ourselves.
Sandy Weirich: There’s not a lot of love in the world right now. That’s how I feel. So I think it’s really important to be reminded. I think the message was delivered. I feel a little bit lighter. I feel a little bit more encouraged.
Tricia: To be saved it’s not…Hindi Sapat (enough) that you just believe in God, but you have to follow the commandments and follow the good teachings of God to be saved. Attending this lesson changed me in the way that I think I have the reason to try and go here again, to listen.
Xander Manayan: It was actually really good. It was more personal, because it felt more like from the heart. I really enjoyed where it came from, a place where I can relate with what is happening and what I’m actually teaching. I actually did really enjoy it. If Roxy does want to take me again, I’d be happy to come.
VO: This message didn’t only resonate with listeners in America, even those in Canada were uplifted and inspired. Further extending across the Atlantic to the United Kingdom, where more people had the opportunity to hear the message being taught. Shielded by love for their faith and their friends, acquaintances and family. Church Of Christ members will continue to share their faith so that more and more people from diverse backgrounds can learn about the true words of God.
