School Supply Giveaways and Good Food Bring People Together

Elijah: Hi again, INC Giving fam! Guess why I’m back? That’s right! It’s INC Giving recap time.

Elijah: We’re kicking off this week’s recap with a blood donation drive in Quezon City, Philippines. Just look at all those INC Giving volunteers from North Diversion who helped to save lives.

Elijah: In Edmonton, Canada, INC Giving volunteers from Callingwood walked around the Saville Community Sports Center to hand out free water and sports drinks. I’m sure that was much appreciated by them.

Elijah: Tea Cher Mayo shares a whole list of INC Giving projects that were carried out

in Nabunturan, Philippines. Like appreciating the B. H. E. R. T. (or the Barangay Health and Emergency Response Team) and the B.D.R.R.M.C. (or the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Committee) with coffee and bread snacks; providing de-stressing activities for the children, such as storytelling and games; they offered hot meals and snacks and toy donations.

Elijah: These are all such amazing ways to give back to their community.

Elijah: In Binan City, Philippines, INC Giving volunteers from Southville handed out free ‘goto’ or a type of hot rice porridge to people in their community. I just love how hot food always brings people together.

Elijah: Guess what’s coming up next? Clean-up drives in the Philippines!

Elijah: Let’s head over to Sampaloc, Philippines, where you can see the happiest street sweepers cleaning up the streets.

Elijah: Jennifer shares this clean-up drive in San Jose Del Monte. Hey! It looks like they handed out hot soup to anyone passing by!

Elijah: Check it out! Over here in Bacoor City, we have a clean-up drive.

Elijah:Now we’ll travel over to Central America, where in Nicaragua, INC Giving volunteers held clean-up drives in the cities of Managua and Granada.

Elijah: This time we’re heading over to California, USA, where park clean-ups were held at Montgomery Waller Park in San Diego and at Lamar County Park in Spring Valley. It looked like a beautiful day to clean up parks in the community.

Elijah: We’ll switch over now to helping kids with their education. Here’s some photos of Hudson, a student himself from San Diego, California. While even on vacation in the Philippines, he decided to spread kindness.

Hudson: There’s always room in your heart to help others. I recently went on a vacation to the Philippines. My family and I took the time to get school supplies and donate [them] to underprivileged kids. They were so happy!

Hudson: I believe that we can use our superpowers to drastically–and I mean drastically help change the world.

Elijah: This one is so inspiring from someone so young. Good job, Hudson.

Elijah: And we wanted to share this appreciation post from the Barangay Samput Facebook page, who thanked INC Giving volunteers for their school supply donations.

Elijah: It looks like INC Giving volunteers worldwide are definitely keeping the momentum going. Let’s keep those INC Giving projects coming, because we love seeing them!

Elijah: We’ll leave you with a little clip from Hudson who’s got a message for all of us.

Hudson:  Whenever you possibly can, do good to those who need it.

Elijah: Thanks Hudson, for that great reminder. We definitely will. And that does it for us here. See you guys next week. Bye!
