INC Reaches and Outreaches to Places in Western Hemisphere
RICHIE FERRERA: From Central America to North America. We take a look at some of the latest events happening in the Church of Christ. Let’s check it out.

RICHIE FERRERA: Our first stop takes us to the Ecclesiastical District of Greater Toronto. Located about 70 miles north from Toronto, one of Canada’s fastest growing cities, the city of Barrie. It was here that the Church Of Christ planted new roots with the establishment of group worship service. And to commemorate this, an inaugural worship service was held.
RICHIE FERRERA: Members gathered from across the Ecclesiastical District of Greater Toronto to celebrate this momentous occasion. Led in a study of the words of God by Supervising Minister, Brother Raul Adalla — Church Of Christ members were reminded about the love that God has for His people. After the preaching of the words of God, an oath-taking was held — bringing in new officers to help in caring for the newly established Group Worship Service. Members, like Julius, are thrilled to have a place to worship God so close to home.
JULIUS REYES (INC OFFICER, BARRIE, ONTARIO, CANADA): We’re very happy and for the unwavering support of the Church Administration for bringing us closer to the to the Worship Services.
HEIDI REYES (INC OFFICER, BARRIE, ONTARIO, CANADA): I am so glad that the worship service in Barrie established because the worship service is nearer to our place. So it is such a blessing from our Almighty God that we don’t need to travel far.
JULIUS REYES (INC OFFICER, BARRIE, ONTARIO, CANADA): It’s going to be like a big potential for us to become a local because like, I think Barrie’s like more than almost 200,000 people in here living.
BROTHER SHERWIN DE JESUS (MINISTER OF THE GOSPEL): No matter what happen, the brethren in the Group Worship Service of Barrie will continue to perform their duties to praise and glorify God in Heaven.
RICHIE FERRERA: For our next stop, we move south to the Ecclesiastical District of South America. In the capital city of Colombia, the cultural diverse city of Bogota, while numerous people are now recovering from the financial hardship brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and to give aid to those in need, the Church Of Christ held a Care For Humanity.
RICHIE FERRERA: Attendees were given care packages to help during their difficult time. Those in attendance were also able to receive the most important care – through the preaching of God’s words, led by Supervising Minister Brother Rene Manansala, giving those present the inspiration that they needed especially during these challenging times.
RICHIE FERRERA: And the help to others doesn’t stop there as we head to the Land Down Under – the Ecclesiastical District of Australia West to a city known for one of the world’s highest concentrations of arts, cultural and creative organizations — the city of Melbourne.
RICHIE FERRERA: But it’s also in Australia where we find a shortage for a critical essential to living – blood. In fact, Australia needs more than 29,000 donations every week to meet demand. And to help meet this demand, Church Of Christ volunteers from the Local Congregation of Melbourne gathered at the Australian Red Cross Blood Donation Center for an INCGiving Blood Donation. Church Of Christ volunteers were all smiles as they donated blood and plasma to help save lives.
RICHIE FERRERA: And for our last stop, we head north to the Ecclesiastical District of Los Angeles County, California, where a Special Gathering for the LOS – or Light of Salvation officers was held in the House of Worship in North Hollywood.
Tasked with a focus on propagational words inside the Church Of Christ, Light of Salvation officers assist with the growing needs of those in the process of becoming members. And today, they received much-needed reminders of how to perform their duties, through the preaching of God’s words – led by Supervising Minister, Brother Jun Pilon.
BROTHER ARTEMIO PILON JR. (SUPERVISING MINISTER, ECCLESIASTICAL DISTRICT OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY): It is very important, first, to give glory to our Lord Almighty God. And for the LOS officers to receive great blessings, and most of all, the strength that they need in performing their duties, especially now that the works of propagation is being intensified further…
RICHIE FERRERA: Church Of Christ members, like Bill, understand the importance of special gatherings like this despite the distance he had to travel.
BILL DORSEY (LIGHT OF SALVATION OFFICER, DELANO, CALIFORNIA): We left L.A. around 6 a.m. this morning. The travel time was about two and a half hours. It’s important for the LOS officers because we receive updates and reminders of the duties and responsibility that our Father has given unto us.
JESUS RAMIREZ (LIGHT OF SALVATION OFFICER, RIDGECREST, CALIFORNIA): It helps us to edify not only ourselves, but also our brethren who are under our care in the works of propagation.
RICHIE FERRERA: After the preaching of God’s words, a seminar was also held to help new LOS officers and served as a reminder for those who’ve been in the organization for many years – allowing for all in attendance to be strengthened in their faith and properly equipped to perform their holy duties. Through the guidance of the Church Administration, Church Of Christ members throughout the world are inspired and motivated to strengthen their love for one another through various activities while encouraging one another to be united in their services to the Almighty God.
