Michael O’keeffe: Dearest Brother Eduardo,

I want to thank you for all of the work you have done and for all of the love you have shown to each and every one of us. Without you and the guidance of our Lord God, I wouldn’t be steadfast in my election till this day.

My name is Michael O’keeffe from the Local Congregation of Battersea within the Ecclesiastical District of Britain South. I am 17 years old and an only child in my family.

I’ve been a member of the Church Of Christ since birth and am currently blessed with the duty as an adult Choir member. Also, I will shortly take oath as the Sports Committee chairperson for the Binhi Organisation. God willing, I will be able to fulfill this duty in the future as I have in my performance as a Choir member.

Recently, my family has gone through many trials. My mother was diagnosed with stomach cancer, and not long after, my father was also diagnosed with lip cancer. Along with my own personal struggles, these circumstances deeply affected my mental health.

During that time, I didn’t know who to turn to. I isolated myself and stopped attending many Church activities. This not only became an added burden on my parents, but it also led me to grow cold in my relationship with God. I began to take my duties for granted and even felt as though God had abandoned me completely. However, through your help, I was able to see the bigger picture.

Recently, I performed as a Choir member during a video-streaming worship service on the 27th June 2025. During this period, I was still facing great hardships  but something you said had caught my attention. You said that “Our Lord God is always ready to help us. God is an ever-present help. That’s what we should always bear in our minds and hearts. Our Lord God will not forsake us.” I questioned it a lot because I felt as if God had already forsaken me. Why was I still facing problems if God was always with me? Despite my doubts, you said that, “If we have faith, God’s love will be fulfilled in us.” These words gave me a sense of comfort, and I realised something. Was I the one losing faith and trust in God? I then decided to have a week-long devotional prayer at 10 PM. I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit in every prayer.

Shortly after that week, my mental health slowly started to progress. My parents also began to make a successful recovery. I was attending a lot more Church activities and made more sacrifices for the sake of my duties. The realization came to me that everyone faces troubles of their own. Many have it worse than I do, but were still steadfast in their faith, which inspired me to do the same. Brother Eduardo. You have made such a big impact on my life. Thank you for being successful in leading the Church in all of its glory.

Thank you so much once again, beloved Brother, God bless always po. We love you so much po.

Your Brother in Christ,

Michael O’keeffe
