Brother EDUARDO V. MANALO
Executive Minister of the Church of Christ
To our respected and most beloved Brother,
I am sending this letter with heartfelt gratitude because you granted my request to visit the Central Office of the Church.
It is truly heartwarming to remember that even though you are busy with your duties, you accommodated my request.
I will never forget that moment because it was also when I asked you if it would be possible for you to officiate a special gathering for the choir.
Your response was that it was already on your mind. Your warmth and sincerity in talking to the brethren are truly admirable qualities of a true leader.
Since 1955, when I was just 10 years old, I’ve been performing as a choir member in the local congregation of Barrio Obrero in Manila.
One of my unforgettable childhood experiences was visiting the Messenger of God in these last days, Brother Felix Y. Manalo, in his office together with my friends and fellow choir members.
There, he reminded us to live a righteous life, be diligent, and wholeheartedly fulfill our duties. “He said, “When we perform our duties, our mind and heart should be fully focused on fulfilling them. Our minds should not wander.” According to him, this would strengthen our faith even more.
He also reminded us that we should hold on to what God can do in our lives.
I have many wonderful experiences from the time of Brother Eraño G. Manalo.
Wherever he would officiate the worship service, I would make an effort to attend. When he led a special gathering for the choir in 1997, I was among those who received an award for long-standing service in my duty.
This was the special gathering I mentioned to you when I requested the possibility of having another special gathering for choir members. This request was fulfilled, and it was even more impactful during the Global Special Assembly for the choir. I was able to attend at the Local Congregation of Capitol via live streaming.
Listening to that gathering further strengthened my resolve to fulfill my duties and give glory to God to the best of my ability. I consider it a great blessing from our Lord God to witness the rapid growth and success of the Church Of Christ.
At 79 years old and after 69 years of serving as a choir member, I draw inspiration from the teachings of the Church Administration,
We truly need your leadership and guidance in showing us the will of the Father.
Because I continue to remain in my duties, I am certain that my family will also do the same. It is indeed true that whatever values we instill in our children, they will carry as they grow older. I thank the Father because my children are active members and officers in the Church of Christ. This is my conviction.
I am thankful to God that I can still fulfill my duties. All glory belongs to God because He has not forsaken me nor my children. In the past, I diligently worked to send them to school, even though I was just a sidewalk vendor. Now, my life is better, and two of them are already working abroad. They would not have achieved a good life if not for the goodness of our Lord God.
I also want to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt congratulations on the 15th anniversary of your successful leadership over the entire Church.
Once again, dear brother, thank you very much, and rest assured that you are always included in my prayers.
With deep respect,
Sister Mirasol Anzunas Padilla
