(RIVERSIDE, California) — The City of Riverside in California recognized the efforts of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC or Church Of Christ) to clean and beautify its surroundings, honoring the INC Local Congregation of Riverside as one of the recipients of the city’s “Beautification Award” for this year.
During the State of the City Address of Riverside Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson on January 25, a total of 17 awardees were honored across nine different categories. The event, attended by representatives of over 1,000 local businesses and organizations, was the culmination of the Keep Riverside Clean & Beautiful community program, which is sponsored by the City of Riverside’s Public Works Department and the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce. The mission of the program was to “instill a sense of community pride by creating partnerships that work toward the beautification of the City” as stated on the Award certificate.
One of the 17 awardees was the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) Local Congregation of Riverside which was recognized for its exterior reconstruction, as well as the upkeep, general appearance and condition of its grounds on Locust Street.
Church Of Christ members strive to keep the INC houses of worship in excellent condition to bring honor to our Almighty God.
