Trisha Galvez: Dear Brother Eduardo V. Manalo,
May this letter reach you in the best of health. My name is Sister Trisha Galvez from the Local Congregation of Malibay, Ecclesiastical District of Makati. I am 25 years old and I am the youngest in the family. Since birth, I have been a member of the Church Of Christ and was a Children’s Worship Service choir member. I currently serve as a Finance officer and a Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society officer. I am the daughter of the current Bishop of the Local Congregation of Malibay, Dr. Joseph Galvez and his wife, Dr. Ellaine Galvez. Being born into a family that has been entrusted with duties in the Church, I already consider myself greatly blessed by our Almighty God.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2022, I faced one of the most difficult periods of my life. It was my last year in college and as part of my requirements, I had to establish my own business. At that time, the country was on lockdown. The process of business registration was delayed which affected my ability to sell and I had to resort to online platforms in order to continue. These struggles, and with the uncertainty of graduating on time, weighed heavily on my mental health.
Despite these hardships, I resolved to entrust everything to the Lord God and I committed myself to a two-week devotional prayer. During these prayers, I truly felt the presence of the Holy Spirit comforting me. Even though I was still unsure of my graduation status at that time, I held firmly to my faith, continuing to work hard and pray devotedly.
On August 19, 2022, during the pandemic, our Local Congregation was greatly blessed to have a pastoral visitation officiated by you. Your message that day deeply touched me, especially when you reminded us to give full control of our lives to our Lord God by completely trusting Him and remaining prayerful. You also emphasized that although trials will always be a part of life, if we walk with the Almighty Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, we will never be alone in facing them. Your words strengthened me at the exact time I needed them most, and I truly felt the power of the Holy Spirit during the worship service. My family and I were also deeply blessed to have met you and received a prayer afterward, which further strengthened our faith and courage.
Just a week later, I received the long-awaited confirmation from my professor that I had successfully passed my course and would be able to graduate. We were also among the first batch to hold face-to-face graduation after the pandemic. This blessing filled my heart with gratitude to the Lord God, and I firmly believe that the strength and comfort I received came through the guidance and teachings you imparted to us.
With a humble heart, I would like to sincerely thank you for launching the Christian Medical, Dental, and Paramedical Society or CMDPS. Through this, I am given the privilege to participate in medical missions and various Church activities where I am able to help and care for people’s health needs. These experiences not only allowed me to be of service to others but also strengthened my faith and taught me the true value of serving with love and compassion.
I also deeply appreciate the opportunity to take part in the International KADIWA Meet and Greet in Japan, which gave me the opportunity to meet brethren from different parts of the world who share the same Christian culture and the same goal—to please our Almighty God. This event not only created wonderful memories and friendships but also strengthened my faith through the lessons taught especially prepared for KADIWA members.
Brother Eduardo Manalo, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for your love, your guidance, and your sacrifices for the Church. Thank you for your tireless efforts in leading us, especially the youth, to remain steadfast in our faith no matter what trials we may face. I will always be grateful to God for blessing us with your leadership. May our Lord God continue to protect you and your family. And may the Almighty Father bless and guide you as you lead us toward our salvation.
With deep respect and love,
Sister Trisha Galvez
