Free Meals, Clean Ups and Other Community Appreciation Ideas

Elijah: Hi again, everyone! Elijah here with another INC Giving recap. We see you INC Giving volunteers! You guys have been keeping so busy!

Elijah: Here you can see Jim, from the Philippines, who’s offered free printing services as well as free tutoring to the local kids. What a great way to help children with their education.

Elijah: Check out this appreciation day for construction workers in Iloilo City, [Philippines]. I wonder, why did Carla and her family choose construction workers? She says, “Construction workers are the foundation of any construction project, putting in endless hours and diligence to turn architectural blueprints into livable structures.” You know, I never thought about it that way, but you’re totally right, Carla.

Elijah: And another appreciation day, this time for teachers in Camiling, Tarlac, [Philippines], educators were entertained with a program, given a certificate of appreciation and some paper flowers to thank them for all of the hard work that they do. Honestly, I couldn’t agree more. Teachers are the backbone of society.

Elijah: And neighborhood appreciation days continue to gain momentum.

Elijah: Here’s one that gave out free soup. And then for this one in San Jacinto, [Philippines], INC Giving volunteers handed out free champorado, a delicious rice porridge, on a chilly day. I have to say, I would have lined up for some of that warm, chocolatey goodness.

Elijah: More snacks, drinks, and porridge were shared in the community of Digos, [Philippines]. Look how happy these INC Giving volunteers are to be giving back and showing appreciation to their community.

Elijah: Also, local cleanup drives have been happening everywhere. Here are some in the different parts of the Philippines.

Elijah: The first one up is in Nabunturan, [Philippines]. And here’s another one in Calapan, [Philippines].

Elijah:These INC Giving volunteers were hard at work in the Caloocan area [Philippines].

Elijah: And here in San Jose, Del Monte [Philippines].

Elijah: This time, we’ve got a coastal clean up in New Zealand.

Elijah: Look at this coastal clean up held in Miami, Florida. Can you see the amount of trash they’ve collected? I’ve got to give a round of applause to these INC Giving volunteers.

Elijah: And you know what’s really cool? INC Giving projects are being appreciated by their recipients.

Elijah: Check out this post from the San Pablo, California Police Department.

Elijah: And here’s a post from the Roxas Municipal Police.

Elijah: This just motivates us all the more to give back and show appreciation in our communities. Am I right, INC Giving fam?

Elijah: In Toronto, Canada, they had a winter clothing drive, which is perfect for their time of the year. You know, I’ve never been to Toronto, but I hear it can get as cold as -30 degrees Celsius or -22 degrees Fahrenheit.

Elijah: They gave winter essentials such as socks, gloves, jackets and sweaters to anyone who’s in need. Doesn’t that just warm the heart?

Elijah: In Manila, Philippines, a livelihood seminar was held to teach basic baking. Participants were able to bake a cake and they all got certificates at the end. How awesome is that?

Elijah: To help school children, INC Giving volunteers provided a meal program at their school in Moncada, Philippines.

Elijah: And another meal program happened in Sariaya, Quezon, Philippines. These programs are so amazing because no child should have to go through the school day hungry.

Elijah: And finally, we’ll leave you with this book donation drive giving the gift of literacy to kids and adults alike. Who’s a bookworm out there? You know, I should really try to read more.

Elijah: What types of INC Giving projects do you guys have planned? Whatever they are, we can’t wait to see them.

Elijah: And as always, “Whenever you possibly can do good to those who need it.” Bye. See you guys next week.
