Mediante el uso de videoconferencia, el hermano Paul Martinez ha estado brindando clases de inglés a participantes de toda América Latina, desde México hasta Argentina. Vayamos a ver.

Yo aprendí inglés en la calle. No aprendí una forma como lo hacen ahorita estudiando leyendo las cosas. Yo solamente aprendí viendo y escuchando.
Bessy Flores: Mi nombre es Bessy Flores, soy de Honduras. He sacado unos cursos pequeñitos pero si se me ha dificultado hablarlo porque casi no lo pongo en práctica.
Bessy: Creo que ahora ya es básico poder a aprender inglés que sólo ayuda para tener algún trabajo o a la hora de viajar, ir a otro país y pues comunicarse con otras personas.
Hno. Paul Martinez: Okay. Ahora vamos a pedir Bessy. Tú puedes cantarlo o tú puedes leerlo. Cualquiera. Por favor, hermana.

Hno. Paul Martinez: Lo que estamos ofreciendo en nuestras clases de inglés es un método nuevo, se llama enfoque comunicativo, según los eruditos del lenguaje, eso es más eficaz para aprender un idioma.
Hno. Paul: Muy bien. Angie, ¿puedes decirme algo—cosas del comedor?
Angie Rodriguez: (en inglés) Mesa, sartenes, sillas, platos.
Angélica: Con una Maestría en Educación de Idiomas, el Hermano Paul Martinez, un ministro de la Iglesia De Cristo, ofrece estas clases de inglés a través del Internet a cualquier persona, sin costo alguno.
Hno. Paul: Estamos dando actividades de conversación a los estudiantes en vez darles clases de gramática.

Hno. Paul: Tenemos estudiantes aquí en México, también en Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Argentina y en diferentes partes de Latinoamérica.

Hno Paul: ¿De dónde eres? (en inglés) ¿De dónde eres?
Estudiante: De Perú.
Hno. Paul: (en inglés) Entonces, tenemos dos de Perú.
Jonathan Medina: (en inglés) Mi nombre es Jonathan Medina. Tengo 16 años. Soy estudiante—en realidad soy estudiante—(en español) Comercio Internacional.
Estudiante: (en inglés) El abogado es muy amable.
Jonathan: Mi papá nos hijo comentar a mi hermana y a mí sobre este curso y pues decidimos tomarlo ya que sería una buena oportunidad de reforzarlo [nuestro inglés].
Hno. Paul: También tenemos estudiantes profesionales como abogados, maestros, profesores, médicos, enfermeras.
Belén Stephany Deras: Mi nombre es Belén Stephany Deras, tengo 27 años. Ya me gradue de la universidad, soy maestra e igual soy de Honduras.
Angie Nicole Pereda Rodriguez: Mi nombre es Angie Nicole Pereda Rodriguez. Soy abogada, tengo 22 años de edad. Soy de Perú. Yo ingresé a las clases de Inglés por un grupo de Facebook.
Hno: Paul: Angie, ¿puedes leer 1 a 30, por favor?
Angie Rodriguez: (en inglés) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5…
Belén: En Latinoamérica abre muchas puertas a muchos trabajos, trabajos que solo sean full bilingüe en inglés que por ejemplo, aquí en Honduras los call centers son bien solicitados y son bien pagados.
Angie: No todos pueden acceder y la oportunidad que ustedes nos brindan es maravillosa para todos para los que quieren aprender este idioma.
Angie: (en inglés) Mi forma favorita es un corazón.
Hno. Paul: (en inglés) Entonces, ¿por qué te encanta la forma de corazón?
Angie: (en inglés) Porque me gusta.
Hno. Paul: (en inglés) OK. Porque tú estás llena de amor, ¿verdad?
Angélica: Con un ambiente divertido y alentador, los estudiantes mantienen sus mentes comprometidas a través de una variedad de actividades de aprendizaje.
Jonathan: Pero aquí también hacen unas actividades muy originales, muy dinámicas, muy inclusivas, cantar, mandar audios, estar repitiendo constantemente los vocabularios ayuda mucho a reforzar y aprender más.
Angélica: A medida que las clases aumentan de tamaño, los estudiantes aprenden y se conectan entre sí de nuevas formas, a pesar de estar tan separados.
Belén: Para mí, es bien bonito. Me gusta, me gusta bastante su forma de brindar la clase, la metodología.
Efraín: Las clases que se dan aquí con el Hermano Paul en la Iglesia De Cristo, son clases muy dinámicas que te ayudan a entender un poco.
Hno. Paul: (en Inglés) Efraín, ¿puedes darme un ejemplo de las formas en inglés?
Efraín: (en inglés) Sí, triángulo, cuadrado, círculos.
Belén: Me gusta este que seamos de varios países; eso le hace a uno como que estar más cerca de otras personas que están en otros países y eso da la oportunidad de conocer más y ver las culturas también, ¿verdad?
Kristell Deras: Me ha ayudado mucho en vida en realidad. He aprendido muchas cosas y también estoy muy agradecida con usted por la oportunidad que nos dan de brindarnos sus clases de Inglés y más que todo gratis.
Angélica: El Hermano Paul también aprovecha la oportunidad para compartir su fe con quienes se encuentra en la clase.
Hno. Paul: Estamos enviándoles enlaces de los artículos en inglés de INC Media, y ellos van a leer estos artículos y ellos van a hacer o escribir comentarios sobre los artículos en inglés.
Jonathan: (en inglés) Bueno, mi artículo habla sobre el amor en tiempos de pandemia…
Juan Antonio Rosas: (en inglés) Estudiando la clase de inglés en la [Iglesia De Cristo] fue increíble porque— ¿ya sabes? puedes aprender sobre los actos que la Iglesia ha realizado en algunos países.
Hno. Paul: Después [de] enseñar a nuestros estudiantes el idioma inglés y después [de] las actividades que estamos realizando en la clase, estamos realizando también un estudio bíblico con ellos.
Angélica: Apreciando los esfuerzos del Hermano Paul, sus alumnos animan a sus amigos y familiares a unirse y aprender con ellos.
Belén: Quien me había invitado fue la Hermana Ceci. Sí, ella me invitó y yo invité a Yerins Castellanos y a Arturo Posas y también invité a Julio.
Angie: Sí, lo valoro e incluso hasta recomende las clases del sábado a una amiga mía. Ella también se está ingresando sino que todavía no habla mucho porque tiene vergüenza de que—pero como le digo siempre es bueno aprender de nuestros errores ,¿no? Para así mejorar. Muchísimas gracias a usted por su apoyo y su paciencia sobre todo, tomarse el tiempo de enseñarnos. Todos tenemos que apoyarnos para aprender y dominar cada idioma,¿ no?

Efraín Franco: (in English) My name is Efraín Franco. I’m from Mexico City. (in Spanish) I learned English on the street. I didn’t learn it in a way like they do now: studying by reading things. I only learned by watching and listening.
Bessy Flores: My name is Bessy Flores, I am from Honduras. I have taken some small courses, but it has been difficult for me to speak [English] because I hardly practice it. I think that now it is essential to be able to learn in English if only to help get a job, or when traveling to go to another country and therefore communicate with other people.

Angie Nicole Pereda Rodriguez: My name is Angie Nicole Pereda Rodriguez. I’m a lawyer. I am 22 years old. I am from Peru. I entered the English classes through a Facebook group.

Belén: In Latin America it opens many doors to many jobs, jobs that are only full bilingual in English; for example, here in Honduras, call centers are well requested and well paid.
Angie: Not everyone can access and the opportunity that you offer us is wonderful for all those who want to learn this language.
Angie: (in English) My favorite shape is heart.

Angie: Because I like it.

Angelica: With a fun and encouraging atmosphere, students keep their minds engaged through a variety of learning activities.
Jonathan: But, here they also do some very original things, very dynamic, very inclusive activities, like singing, sending audios, constantly repeating vocabulary words helps a lot to reinforce and learn more.
Angelica: As the classes increase in size, the students learn and connect with each other in new ways, despite being so far apart.
Belén: For me, it’s very nice, I like it. I really like the way the class provides its methodology.
Efraín: The classes given here with Brother Paul at Iglesia De Cristo, are very dynamic classes that help you understand a bit.

Efraín: Triangle, square… circles.
Belén: I like that we are from several countries; that makes one feel like being closer to other people that are in other countries and that gives the opportunity to know more and see the cultures too, right?
Kristell Deras: It’s really helped me a lot in life. I have learned many things, and I am also very grateful to you for the opportunity you give us to take your English classes and, most of all, for free.
