Angélica Fisher: No es difícil ver tantos lugares afectados por la pandemia y otros problemas socioeconómicos e imaginarse cómo debe de ser, cómo se las arregla la gente, y pensar, “¿Qué puedo hacer?” Pero en cualquier lugar del mundo en el que estemos, hay esperanza. Y la esperanza motiva a las personas a actuar, grandes y pequeñas.

Angélica: Ayuda Humanitaria es un proyecto continuo de la Iglesia De Cristo que busca ayudar y elevar a las comunidades y a las personas que viven en ellas. Durante el evento especial de Ayuda Humanitaria en Panamá, vi a primera mano cómo un simple acto de bondad podía traer algo de felicidad a los demás.
Angélica: A medida que continúa avanzando la pandemia por todo el mundo, también sigue avanzando la campaña de la Iglesia De Cristo de Ayuda Humanitaria. En donde la Iglesia De Cristo extendió una mano amiga, esta vez en la República Dominicana. Vayamos a ver.

Angélica: Con siete paradas durante cinco días que cubrieron más de 350 kilómetros entre Puerto Plata, Santo Domingo y La Romana, la Iglesia De Cristo visitó diferentes comunidades de la República Dominicana para brindar asistencia material y espiritual, ofreciendo tranquilidad y alivio a través de la predicación de las palabras de Dios.
Hermano Esteban Inocencio: Bueno, la República Dominicana es un país tan hermoso, pero debido a la pandemia actual, muchas personas hoy en día necesitan ayuda urgentemente.
Angélica: Llegando a vecindarios en Puerto Plata como Costambar y Javillar, y nuevamente en Santo Domingo y La Romana, miembros de la Iglesia De Cristo ofrecieron su ayuda y también conocimos a personas que querían ayudar. Cristina y su esposo, pastores de la Iglesia Filadelfia en La Lechosa, ofrecieron su espacio para realizar uno de los eventos de Ayuda Humanitaria.
Cristina Celestino: Bueno, yo me siento muy contenta. A mí me gusta Es algo que yo hago que cuando me encuentro con alguien que hacer lo mismo; en verdad, me siento feliz y quiero colaborar con cada persona.
Hermano Ron Carlos: (en inglés) Dándoles, por ejemplo, arroz, y también certificados de regalo en sus tiendas de abarrotes locales, es solo mostrar nuestro cuidado y preocupación por ellos,
Hno Esteban: Nuestra motivación es lo que está escrito en la Biblia. En Proverbios 3:27: Siempre que podamos, hagamos el bien a quienes lo necesiten.
Angélica: A cada parada del evento los ministros brindaron esperanza, inspiración y guía espiritual, con las palabras de Dios para ayudar a todos con lo que está pasando en el mundo hoy.
Cristina: Me gustó bastante por la orden. Me gusta la actividad de Ayuda—esa Ayuda Humanitaria es muy bien, ayudando la gente de la nación; no tiene que ver Dominicano, Haitiano; se ayuda y eso es muy importante. Queremos estar en una verdadera iglesia donde lo muestra la salvación. Gracias a ustedes por ese trabajo hermoso que ha hecho en La Lechosa en La Romana.
Hno. Esteban: Llevamos a cabo esta Ayuda Humanitaria, no solo para poder darles esas bolsas de víveres o bolsas de arroz, pero lo más importante, para poder compartir con ellos las palabras de Dios, para darles esperanza e inspiración que viene del Dios Todopoderoso.

Angelica Fisher: It isn’t difficult to see so many places hit hard by the pandemic and other socio-economic problems and imagine what it must be like, how people are coping, and thinking, “What can I do?” But wherever we are in the world, there is still hope. And hope motivates people to action, large and small.
Angelica: Aid To Humanity is an ongoing project of the Church Of Christ that looks to help and uplift communities and the people that live there. During the special Aid To Humanity event in Panama, I saw first-hand how a simple act of kindness could bring some happiness to others.
Angelica: So, as the pandemic goes on around the world, so does the campaign of the Church Of Christ through Aid to Humanity. And the Church Of Christ continues extending a helping hand, this time in Dominican Republic. Let’s take a look.

Angelica: With seven stops over five days covering over 350 kilometers between Puerto Plata, Santo Domingo and La Romana, members of the Church Of Christ visited different communities across the Dominican Republic to provide material and spiritual assistance, offering peace of mind and relief through the preaching of the words of God.
Brother Esteban Inocencio: Well, the Dominican Republic is such a beautiful country, but because of the current pandemic, so many people nowadays are in dire need of help.
Angelica: Reaching out to neighborhoods in Puerto Plata like Costambar and Javillar, and again in Santo Domingo and La Romana, members of the Church Of Christ offered their assistance and were met with people wanting to help as well. Cristina and her husband in La Lechosa, offered their space to hold one of the Aid to Humanity events.
Cristina Celestino: I’m very happy. It’s something that I do when I meet someone that does the same thing; in truth, I feel happy and I want to collaborate with everyone.
Brother Ron Carlos: By giving them, for example, rice, and also gift certificates to their local grocery stores, is just to be able to show our care and concern for them.
Bro. Esteban: Our motivation is what’s written in the Bible. In Proverbs 3:27:
Whenever we possibly can, do good to those who need it.
Angelica: At each stop of the event, ministers gave hope, inspiration and spiritual guidance with the words of God to help those deal with what’s happening in the world today.
Cristina: I liked it a lot because of the orderliness. It’s very good, helping the nation’s people; it has nothing to do with being Dominican, Haitian; it helps, and that’s what’s important. We want to be in a true church where salvation is shown. Thank you all for that beautiful work that you’ve done in La Lechosa in La Romana.
Bro. Esteban: We conducted this Aid to Humanity, not only to be able to give them those goodie bags or bags of rice, but more importantly, to be able to share with them the words of God, to give them hope and inspiration that comes from the Almighty God.
