EXPERIENCE community.
EXPERIENCE Truth.
EXPERIENCE something real.
Most people don’t expect much from free events these days. So when residents of Seattle, and the neighboring communities, walked into the INC Media Experience in Seattle, on Saturday, June 1st, they were surprised to find an event that filled more than just their free time.
INC Media Experience, or INCMX, is a community event sponsored by the Church Of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo).
Welcoming visitors from across the state of Washington, the day gave residents a break from the recent news of rising cost of living, homelessness and random violence in the region. And in turn, filled their hearts with something that is often missing these days -- genuine connection and community.
"It's really clear to me that the people that I'm seeing here, that are the volunteers, are really working on creating a sense of community."
- Amalia Gonzalez saw the event while walking by the Church Of Christ worship building

"I love everybody that’s here. Everybody is open arms to us even though they don’t know us, they treat us like family and so being treated like family is like being in your home.”
- Alice Bloodsaw was invited by a friend to INCMX
"This is the first time I’ve done anything like this. To see them get a free haircut and look in the mirror and they’re happy with it, it means a lot to me.”
- Jermaine Williams volunteered to give free haircuts at INCMX

The LIVE studio tapings tackled relevant life topics like “How to Get Out of the Happiness Trap” and “Is God’s Love Unconditional?” While a third program featured YouTube artist James Raiz, and gave kids the opportunity to draw with James, and meet Sweetie and Shalina, characters from the INC Kids Youtube channel, a kid-friendly Christian channel.
